About Me

Background

My name is Reka de Falussy and I am currently attending Elmira College as an anthropology/sociology major with a minor in art. Photography is a new medium for me as an artist and something that I am glad to experience. When I take photos, I find myself more drawn to still life subjects rather than living subjects. I take photos of subjects that don't necessarily hold significant meaning other than fulfilling an aesthetic purpose. I'm drawn to textures and isolating small details of everyday objects that one might pass without noticing. Photography has given me a chance to stop and appreciate the detail and beauty of everyday things that normally go by unnoticed.
